the establishment board of the CCRR came together, in the belief
that methods of alternative conflict transformation can enrich the
traditional Palestinian way of dealing with conflict. Especially
facilitation, i.e. the application of different methods and processes
to bring groups together, is of the highest value for the Palestinian
people. The facilitator's role includes helping the participants to
identify the issues they find relevant.
The
facilitator provides different processes to address these concerns,
thus creating a safe environment in which all voices can be heard. In
this respect, the CCRR not only promotes facilitation, but is a
facilitator in its own right.
The board felt the need to establish a truly independent institution
that could reach all levels of Palestinian society.
CCRR registered as a NGO with the Palestinian National Authority (PNA)
in September 2000. Since then, due to its strict political neutrality,
CCRR has built up a record of professionally training significant
multipliers in the Palestinian society.
