Natural
resources, Jerusalem. refugees, , sovereignty and borders, and security
were the topics that a group of 30 Palestinians and 30 Israelis chose
for discussions as part of the 'Negotiating our Future' project.
At the beginning of November, CCRR and its partner Neve Shalom held the
first round of negotiations in this project. For four days, 30
Palestinians and 30 Israelis had the chance to meet in Antalya, Turkey,
and conduct negotiations on the five subjects of their choice. The
subjects had been suggested in prior uni-national meetings by the
Israeli and Palestinian groups separately and then decided upon by
representatives from both sides. Now both groups will hold separate
meetings and then meet again in spring 2008 to continue the discussion.
In total, there will be three joint meetings.
The project is funded by the EU.
